What should we wear to our session?
The most important thing when it comes to choosing what to wear for your session is that you choose something that you're confident in, that's comfortable, and something you won't mind looking at over and over again whether in a frame on your wall or an album on your table.
I always encourage my clients to wear neutral tones - creams, light greys, earthy tones, subtle prints. Avoiding bright, flashy, sparkly, bold pattern clothing will help keep your photos looking timeless as well as easy to blend into your home.
How would you describe your shooting style?
I go into every session with an open mind, ready to create a fun and care-free environment where you can feel relaxed, comfortable, and real. I always want to capture the laughing, the hugging, the forehead kisses and hand holding. You'll dance and spin, hug and tickle, cuddle and kiss, laugh and make memories. I will help you along the way, guiding you into poses that feel natural and easy. Most importantly, come ready to have fun with the people you love most, not to stress over picture perfect smiles, but to laugh when things go hay-wire and the kids are running around crazy and clothes are getting wrinkled from playing and dirt is on their cheeks and you forget your getting photos at all! Because that's when the magic happens :)
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within the week! You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints.
Are you flexible with your session times?
Yes!
My session times are usually the max amount of time you will want to be in front of the camera for, especially when wrangling children and working with evening light. I am always flexible with time as each session is unique and may require more or less time to create everything we want to. For couples, sessions usually run for around 30 minutes. In that time, I will have looots of images and we can accomplish everything we want to without feeling rushed. For families, I encourage an hour so that there is time for kids to settle in and get comfortable, because feeling rushed is the LAST thing I want parents to feel - the stress will show in your photos! If kids are happy and it's smooth sailing for a solid half hour, shoots can end early before any meltdowns occur!
